As we approach the holiday season, Girl Scouts from all around Southern Arizona are joining forces to make the holidays a little merrier for the people in Southern Arizona. Check out some of the amazing things our girls are doing this season:
Troop 1131 is collecting toys for Toys for Tots again this year. Last year, they collected 50 toys but hope to double and even triple that number this holiday season! You can drop off new, unwrapped toys at 4300 E Broadway Blvd, Tucson to help these girls reach their goal.
Troop 645 is collecting 150 pairs of underwear for the Gospel Rescue Mission. This is in celebration of Juliette Gordon Low’s 150th Birthday. You can help these girls by dropping off new, packaged undies in any color, shape and size to 4300 E Broadway Blvd, Tucson.
Troops at St. Joseph’s Church at Craycroft and Broadway (Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts) are collecting non-perishable food items and new or used blankets for St. Vincent de Paul and The Primavera Group. Donations can be taken directly to St. Joseph’s Church.

Troop 590 held a food and clothing drive at Safeway on Linda Vista and Thornydale this weekend. They managed to collect 1000 food items and 500 clothing items!! They are donating the food to the Tucson Community Food Bank and the clothing will be donated to Big Brother Big Sister of Tucson. These girls received a donation from a young cancer survivor (pictured in blue above). Her mother said that Tucson helped her through donations for the two years she battled with cancer, so she felt it important to give back. What a great story for these girls to be a part of!
